Andrew Mails Is Named Director of the Wesley-Luther Campus Ministry
Andrew Mails Is Named Director of the Wesley-Luther Campus MinistryThe Wesley-Luther Board of Directors has chosen Andrew Mails, who is part of our College Place congregation, to lead the joint Methodist and Lutheran Campus Ministry at UNCG, following the resignation of Butch Sherrill in July. This ministry began at College Place in 1930, later moved into a succession of houses, and is now headquartered in the Associated Campus Ministries Building, right across from the Elliott University Center.

Andrew, who grew up in California as the son of a Lutheran pastor, and whose wife, Emily, was a leader in Wesley-Luther while a student at UNCG, brings unique gifts and passion to this ministry. He organized a very significant Young Life ministry with inner-city high school students in California and then came to Greensboro in 2004 to direct the youth program and to develop college ministries for Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Some of the Wesley-Luther students who have been most active at College Place were also part of a Bible study he led at Ebenezer, and he developed the TGIF! program last year to bring together students from UNCG, GC, and a number of our area churches.

Andrew is an excellent musician and is part of the Dei Laudes Choir, which has toured both this country and Europe. We are very grateful that Andrew felt called to leave his position as an Assistant Plant Manager and to take on this important role on very short notice. You may contact him at 336-402-2080 or at atmails@uncg,edu. For current information on Wesley-Luther, visit www.wesleyluther.org.
