Valerie Wooten Has Begun Her Work As Director of Youth Ministries |
 Starting October 1, Valerie Wooten has joined the College Place staff as Director of Youth Ministries. This new part-time position was created by the Church Council to expand the church's ministry with youth in grades 6 through 12. Valerie graduated in May with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science that focused on community work with children and youth. While at UNCG, she was a leader of the Wesley-Luther Campus Ministry and an active participant at College Place, where she was instrumental in organizing a student-led College Class. For several summers, she was a counselor and trainer of counselors at Camp Tekoa, our Western NC Conference youth camp. The College Place youth had their first meeting on October 11 and will be participating in the CROP Walk on October 18, and helping to staff our Fall Festival on October 25. |
