24 From College Place and Wesley-Luther Walk to Combat Hunger |
On October 18, eighteen walkers representing College Place joined with six representing the Wesley-Luther campus ministry at UNCG to participate in the Greensboro CROP Walk, which is now one of the largest such walks in the nation. With a good deal of money still to be collected, these 24 people raised over $ 1,700. 25% of this will help to feed the homeless through Greensboro Urban Ministry, and the rest will be used by Church World Service to combat hunger around the globe.
